Dhimsa Dance

Dhimsa is a dance of the ‘Hill Tribes’ of Araku valley. This dance is usually performed in March and April, and on important occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, hunting festivals and yearly celebrations. Women form a chain and move their feet according to the rhythm and make formations of smaller to larger circles. The dance is originated in Koraput district in Odisha.
